On Clothing and Fashion

Fashion shows, fashion design, small boutiques, and innovative "green" clothing—its all alive and well in Santa Fe. Fashion is just one of the many creative fields where locals flourish in our town.Whether they are handcrafting painted silk scarves or constructing flounces for custom wedding dresses, Santa Fe designers are often little known but well respected among those who follow the art of fashion. When it comes to finding new creative talent to offer the unexpected and reinvent the known, our town harbors designers who regularly surprise local and visiting clothes-horses with their cutting edge designs. For both those who love to design and those who love to fill their closets with the work of up and comers, I offer these articles about fashion designers and fashion events in our town, published in Local Flavor.
